Sadykov Aitmakhan
Sadykov Aitmakhan was born on September 24, 1922, in the village of Dihanköl, Lenger District, Shymkent Region. He was orphaned at a young age and raised in an orphanage. In 1941, he graduated with honors from the secondary school named “10th Anniversary of Kazakhstan” in the village of Georgievka.
From June 1943 — member of the CPSU.
1949–1951: completed the All-Union correspondence courses at the USSR Ministry of Agriculture in Moscow and qualified as an accountant.
November 1941 – July 1942: served as a squad commander in the 105th Cavalry Regiment in the city of Dzhambul.
July 1942 – March 1945: commander of a communications platoon in the 374th Artillery Regiment, 3rd Ukrainian Front.
March–July 1945: studied at a military artillery school.
August–November 1945: served in a communications company on the territory of Romania.
July 1944 – November 1945: participated in the liberation of Bulgaria, Romania, Yugoslavia, and Austria from Nazi invaders.
For courage shown during the Great Patriotic War, he was awarded the Order of Glory as well as the medals “For Courage,” “For the Liberation of Belgrade,” and “For the Victory over Germany.”
In the postwar period:
- February–April 1946: party organizer (partorg) of the “Dihanköl” collective farm.
- April 1946 – October 1950: party secretary and senior accountant of the same collective farm.
He made an enormous contribution to the restoration and development of the collective farm’s economy after the war and demonstrated outstanding organizational skills.
October 1950 – February 1953: party secretary and chief accountant of the enlarged collective farm named after Kalinin.
February 1953 – August 1975: chairman of the Kalinin collective farm.
Thanks to his tireless work and skillful leadership, the Kalinin collective farm achieved remarkable success and became a source of pride for the district and region.
1965: listed on the District Honor Board for high results in grain sales to the state and fodder preparation.
1967: listed on the Regional Honor Board.
Under his direct leadership:
- 1967: a modern House of Culture was built in the center of Kaskasu settlement.
- The same year: a new three-story secondary school was commissioned.
- The collective farm administration building was built (today it serves as the rural district hospital).
- Asphalt roads connecting all farm divisions were laid.
For his labor achievements he was awarded:
- Order of Lenin (1967)
- Order of the Red Banner of Labour (1972)
- Order of Glory
- Medal “For Labour Valour”
- Order “For Valiant Labour in Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of V.I. Lenin’s Birth” (1970)
- Certificates of Honour from the Supreme Soviet of the Kazakh SSR and Shymkent Regional Executive Committee
- Letter of Gratitude from the USSR Minister of Culture (1960)
1954–1975: repeatedly elected delegate to the Shymkent regional party conferences.
1969: elected member of the regional party committee bureau.
1969: delegate to the 3rd Congress of Collective Farmers of Kazakhstan; elected member of the Republican Council of Collective Farmers.
1973: elected to the Presidium of the Republican Council of Collective Farmers.
In 1975, due to deteriorating health caused by war wounds, he asked to be relieved of his position as chairman. He was granted Group II disability and a special republican pension.
Even after retirement, until the end of his life he headed the collective farm’s audit commission and personnel department.
Sadykov Aitmakhan worked tirelessly to improve the lives of collective farmers and enjoyed the deep respect and love of people of all ages — from elders to small children.
Together with his wife Sakhaeva Mamyrkul, he raised a son and a daughter.
Veteran of the Great Patriotic War, outstanding worker and public figure Sadykov Aitmakhan passed away on July 28, 1982.
